Welcome to Bill Clugston's home page!
Hello and welcome to my web site! My name is Bill Clugston and to say I have varied interests is an understatement. I've had interests in sailing, photography, model airplanes, cars, computers and whatever else! But when it comes down to the most common threads in my life I would have to say the interests displayed on this web site are my strongest and most enduring.
Climate Change contains links on the most pressing issue of our time, Global Climate Change (also referred to as Global Warming). Caused by the rapid increase of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere, Global Climate Change threatens to make the planet unlivable within 100 years unless it is reversed.
Astronomy covers my interest in amateur astronomy. I started in astronomy when I was 10 years old with a 4" cardboard tube newtonian refractor. Later I moved up(?) to a Tasco 2" refractor. Fortunately neither of these "Walmart Wonders" scared me away from astronomy and I finally purchased a Unitron 3" refractor when I was 18 years old and I still own it. My current actively used equipment includes a Stellarvue 4" Apochromatic refractor, Televue NP127 refractor, and a Celestron 9.25" Schmidt-Cassegrain reflector, but see the astronomy equipment list for photographs and more detailed information.
Earth Science covers information on volcanoes, earthquakes, and other events that actively change the face of this planet.
Rocketry covers my interest(s) in model and high-power rocketry, space flight, and related fields, such as, electronics and computer programming.
