Local Group? What the heck is a Local Group? Some sort of new rock band?
Not really -- it's where we live. Composed of three large galaxies (Andromeda, Milky Way, and the Triangulum galaxies) and numerous smaller, satellite galaxies it can safely be called the largest unit we can call home.
Any astrophotography you see on this site will probably be inside the Local Group (excluding galaxies). Feel free to browse and click on the astrophotography, tips, and equipment links on the left side of this page.
